The Covenant
8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;10 and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you. Of all that go out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of the flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.12 And Godsaid, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud,15 and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

Season9: Idol or Idle?

1 : a representation or symbol of an object of worship - True enough, for the past 8 seasons, in the course of the competition people will pick their choice. America will learn to love one of the finalists and vote for them like crazy. Follow the show every week to see their bets sing and try to degrade the competition. For weeks they will be a symbol of talent hoping to win the title.
2 a : a likeness of something b obsolete : pretender, impostor - I love this definition. Because as much as they start to be a lil bit famous through the season, you will also see some of them just being a copycat of a famous singer from the past. In the past 8 season, there are only few originals and usually they dont go home with the trophy. Why? Because some people would like to support people they've seen before in a better image.
3 : a form or appearance visible but without substance - This is so true. Well at least 75%. Lets name those that fall under this. Just kidding. Well I am talking about some of the people who made it to the finals because of their appearance and not because of talent. And sad to say, some got substance but not so good on the outside appearance thats why they dont win. I would name one, Melinda Doolittle.
4 : an object of extreme devotion - In connection to number 3. American Idol is a popularity contest. So what can we do. More people do go for looks or the Star quality than some raw talent. And it does take millions of votes in this contest to win this. Adam Lamber could have been a better choice to be an Idol but America's devotion for Mr. Goody Two Shoes Kris Allen whose name I always forget won.
but Season 9 is kind of the determining season if its still worth to be called the AMERICAN IDOL!
cause it might result to a search for the next American Idle.
1 : lacking worth or basis
We all thought the lost of a better singer in season 8 was a real shocker. But more news about this popular show is slowly pulling it down. The lost of one of the original judge is a big change. I think FOX already knew about it thats why they added Kara last season. Some like Paula, some dont. But admit it or not, she is one of the Top 4 Answers on Family Feud if asked, "Name a Personality when you hear the word, American Idol." Believe me most likely they wont be able to name Kara. Even tonight's first episode of Season 9, one of the contestants called Kara, Paula. That is really funny. But Idol has been prepared for her loss. Preparing Kara and adding Ellen. Ellen is my favorite host but as a judge in Idol, it just doesn't make sense. For me she was a person who finds talents around the world. For example, my fellow Filipino, Charice Pempengco and others.
Then I think Idol is doing some damage control of whats happening. Now making news that Warner Cable is taking out FOX. Making people demand for it to stay, getting American Idol an extra attention. Then after that before the competition starts, Simon announced that this will be his last Idol Season. Which creates more Buzz and more people to watch his "LAST SEASON." Or will it be.
With these tactics, American Idol is step by step losing its original reason of being a show, which is to find new raw American talent. It is now just becoming a "BLAH" reality show which has singers on it.
IDOL or IDLE?
We wont know... YET! I will have to admit that I have been a fan since Fantasia Barino and loved her season, Underwoods and Sparks also. The rest was a so-so. The last one was a... I dont even know how to say it.
In my opinion, this season will be a make it or break it season for this show. Will the hype of all the news increase interest or will it shun away its fans one by one.
We will see. I loved Boston's audition so far. The guest judge makes it a little more interesting. Victoria Beckham and more coming. I will surely watch this until It is just an "IDOL" with its definition Numero Tres (3); scroll up for that.
We will see.

I Want my own Pandora: AVATAR Review
In the epic action adventure fantasy AVATAR, James Cameron, the director of Titanic, takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination. On the distant moon Pandora, a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption, discovery and unexpected love -- as he leads a heroic battle to save a civilization.
The story’s protagonist, Jake Sully, is an ex-Marine who was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in combat on Earth. In order to participate in the Avatar program, which will give him a healthy body, Jake agrees to travel to Pandora, a lush rain forest environment filled with incredible life forms – some beautiful, many terrifying. Pandora is also the home to the Na’vi, a humanoid race that lives at what we consider to be a primate level, but they are actually much more evolved than humans. Ten feet tall and blue skinned, the Na’vi live harmoniously within their unspoiled world. But as humans encroach on Pandora in search of valuable minerals, the Na’vi’s very existence is threatened – and their warrior abilities unleashed.
Jake has unwittingly been recruited to become part of this encroachment. Since humans are unable to breathe the air on Pandora, they have created genetically-bred human-Na’vi hybrids known as Avatars. The Avatars are living, breathing bodies in the real world, controlled by a human driver through a technology that links the driver’s mind to the Avatar body. On Pandora, through his Avatar body, Jake can be whole once again. Moreover, he falls in love with a young Na’vi woman, Neytiri, whose beauty is matched by her ferocity in battle.
As Jake slides deeper into becoming one of her clan, he finds himself caught between the military-industrial forces of Earth, and the Na’vi – forcing him to choose sides in an epic battle that will decide the fate of an entire world.
Conceived 14 years ago and over four years in the making, AVATAR breaks new ground in delivering a fully immersing, emotional story and reinvents the moviegoers experience.
According to Christian...
This movie is epic. It's the first movie I have seen in 2010 and I have made the right choice. I have heard about this plot before but this one was executed really well. The makers of this film knew what they were doing.
I can go on and on and on of why I like Avatar. But the best thing about this movie is that the land of Pandora. It is like a luscious and magical rain forest that has secrets behind every creature. I love how the Na'vi has a deep relation with their land. Which I think is the real meaning of this movie. Unlike us humans who just has been destroying our environment, they love theirs like how they love themselves. The sad thing about this film is that it shows how humans will do everything to take away the resources of others. Which is sad. Which is true. Which is scary. Because it shows what is really happening in reality. In the film humans, picked the harmful way instead of the diplomatic way of working with the locals of Pandora. Which is sad. Which is true. Which is scary. And that is really happening to us now.
The film has triggered me physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. I have learned to love my mother earth, to appreciate other cultures, to think about my next move and to be sensitive to the needs of others.
I would recommend this movie 100% to anyone who wants a movie of quality and aesthetics. Its visually beautiful and mentally arousing. It gives you a breath of fresh air.
